Ingo Hofmaier is Partner – Metals and Mining at Hannam & Partners, a London-based, natural resource-focused merchant bank. Mr Hofmaier has 18 years' experience in corporate finance, corporate M&A and capital markets advisory across various commodities. Ingo was formerly with Rio Tinto, focusing on JVs and multi-jurisdictional transactions, and with Wienerberger AG, an Austrian diversified heavy industries group. He is a forest engineer by background, has a MBA and is an INSEAD (Asian International Executive Programme - Shanghai) graduate. He is a CFA charter-holder since 2004. His sector and commodity experience spans base and precious metals, fertilizers, bulk commodities and steel, aluminium and building materials. He is worked extensively in Central Asia and was involved in several resource projects in Mongolia, including the take-over of Ivanhoe / OT by Rio Tinto.
