Ksenia joined the EBRD in 2004 and has been working in the Natural Resources team since then. She has been involved in structuring and executing projects in oil&gas and mining. Before joining the bank Ksenia worked in Eni in Milan (Italy).

Sustainable investment in mining

Through long-term loan and equity financing the EBRD promotes sustainable mining investments. Good governance, high transparency and high environmental and social standards should feature in any responsible investment. The EBRD is also involved in the policy dialogue across its countries of operation to support these best practices in the resource development. The Bank acts as an honest broker and can provide technical assistance to both investors and countries where it operates. For example, the EBRD assisted several countries in creating frameworks for implementation of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) that has become the global standard for transparency and reporting in extractive industries.
